Inspired by the film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, this painting depicts Dart Valley in New Zealand. Dart Valley is the real-life location that served as the filming stand-in for Wizard’s Vale, the valley in which the fortress of Isengard is situated in the film. As a devotedLord of the Ringsenthusiast, Ethan sought to create a landscape that is both visually striking and a subtle reference to the trilogy.
